Feng Shuiing, Baby

Filed under tips for better living by Celia

One of the first rules to Feng Shui is to clear the clutter. You knew that, right? Why do you think there are so many “clean your house and organize your life” shows on HGTV?

Well, Sunday after my now aged and elderly sister left (she turned 50 on Sunday) I cleaned out my drawers and closet. WOW, it feels great. I’ve never been a “my socks are in alphabetical order” kind of person, but it is nice to know where my socks actually are.

My home has a great feel to it right now. Maybe it’s the color of the leaves on the willows surrounding my home, maybe it’s the new curtains. But all who enter comment on the feeling. I’ve been diligent in my energy clearing, and even those who are not so energy sensitive have commented on how good the house feels.

I think, however, I need to feng shui my body, and I’m not at all sure how to do that. My left hip is bugging me, and I’m walking with a limp again. I see the chiropractor tomorrow. I have bizarre cracks at the corners of my mouth, and that totally bugs.

Maybe I should go see this woman. This is what her website says:

BODY FENG SHUI is a new concept, seeing your body as the key to freeing your inner chi. How do you then translate your inner chi into your signature style? What is the texture of your skin and hair? Which styles compliment your own shapes, colors and textures? How your body moves reveals who you are and which cuts and fluidity are the best looks for you. By using new scientific information about the source of all personality types and combining it with ancient Feng Shui principles, your personal power is unleashed. We promise!

I’m a little scared of the “signature style” concept… as I don’t know that I have a style and I’m reinventing my signature. Also, not too sure about “unleashing” my powers. Scared of that.

Anyway, I’m happy albeit limpy, and I’m feng shuiing everything I can get my hands on.

Friday Fun

Filed under bloggy banter by Celia

I’m feeling spunky today.  It’s Friday, the end of another week, and there is only fun, fun, fun to follow.

The Woo Girls are coming for dinner tonight.  My sister will get to meet them.  Then, after dinner we are having a full moon bonfire.  We are planning on bending forks tonight.  Yeah, bending forks.  Talk about Woo Fun.

We watched “The Vicar of Dibley” last night.  Again, another fantastic and delightful BBC comedy production.  Grab it on Netflicks for fun.  Dawn French is delightful and her village of idiots is particularly amusing.

Weekend plans?  Tomorrow I’m with the Woo Girls at some conference helping Jan sell jewelry.  Sunday, relaxing, cleaning and then heading up to SLC for more fun.  Carolyn is leaving (boo hoo) on Sunday (her birthday) to continue her trip of photography.  She is so glad she hasn’t been in Long Beach with the fires and the bad air quality.

So, nothing deep today.  Just Friday Fun.
