Divine Timing

Filed under bloggy banter by Celia

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about divine timing in the last couple of days. I was talking to BoHo about it last night, and I’ve been talking to others about it today. We are so addicted to time here in this mortal plane. We think about how old we are, how fast we can get something, and what time we should get up in the morning.

We run late. We arrive early. We think time moves too fast or too slowly.

It’s all an illusion.

God is in charge… He knows the perfect timing for all things. Whether we are chewing on a new job, a baby, a marriage, a move… God will reveal to us the perfect timing. Sometimes I find myself trying to force something… but that never works. It’s called flow. I posted about flow here a few months back.  I need to always practice being in the flow.

Yesterday there was a woman killed by a dump truck at an intersection I drive through everyday.  I had passed through there about a half-hour earlier.  I am always stunned by death, especially what I perceive to be senseless death (the dump truck driver ran a red light.)  But I have to go back to my mantra… God is in charge.  He knows all things and creates perfection, even perfect in timing.

I am so grateful for the lessons I’ve had in my life about perfect timing.  I still forget, and probably always will.  But for now, in this moment, I can see it.  I can see God’s timing and I rejoice.

Weird Shift

Filed under bloggy banter by Celia

It has taken me this long to get back in my body from a most FANTASTIC and UPLIFTING weekend. Spending time with my “family of choice” as well as my family by birth was amazing. To be able to watch my community embrace my children with love and open arms was incredible. I’m running out of adjectives.

Here is Julia in her “Shine”. A Shine is a dance, a celebration, a chance to dress up, be a kid, and just have a lot of fun.

Here is Robbie during his shine. Do you just love the mullet and plastic blue guitar! He was such a Rock Star this weekend. He absolutely went for it and is a changed man.

Here are my kids on the couch with Annie and Debbie, two of our Alchemists. Can you see the love?

This is John, believe it or not… they are doing the “Chicken Dance Song.” Love the hair.

About the Firewalk. I didn’t do it. I had been facilitating and doing music for 8 hours on Saturday, and by the time the Firewalk came along I was wiped out. So, I went to bed and all three of my children had a fantastic experience walking the fire. In fact, they all walked multiple times. Are they amazing, or what?

So many good things are happening. I am so grateful for all the experiences I’ve had because my kids stand by me and with me in all the things I do.

This is me with Greg on the last day. Do I look tired or what?

Trying New Things

I had acupuncture this week for my shoulder.  I survived.  The pain is better.

I will do a firewalk on Saturday night.  I know I’ll do it, because three of my kids will also be doing it.

Getting on top of my finances… finally.  Things are looking up. In fact, things are great.

truth.jpg

Really speaking my truth.  Regardless of the perceived cost, embarrassment, or fear of judgment.  Just stating it. Plain and simple.

I was invited to participate in a group of bloggers who blog about personal development.  I am honored, and surprised.  I just blog about me, and I try to portray the truth about where I am the best I can, while also respecting others in my real life who don’t want their dramas spread all over the internet.  I just tell it the best I can, try to share the humor in my life, and move on.

So, I’m leaving in a second to go to Lava with the kids.  I can’t wait to share with you all that happens this weekend… it is my intention that I personally experience some “weird shifts” and come home renewed and excited about my life.
