The Sarcomical Interview
Last week Melissa (aka Sarcomical) asked us, her loyal readers, if we wanted her to interview us. I, of course, said yes. I mean the girl is cool. Here are her questions for me:
1. What’s your worst habit?
My worst habit…. hmmm. Probably the gallons of Diet Coke I drink. Or my habit of putting my foot in my mouth. Yeah, it’s probably the Diet Coke.
2. Baths or showers? Favorite products?
I’m a shower girl in the morning and if I had a big tub I’d be in it several times a week. In fact, I’m a rather quick showerer. Hair, shave, wash, rinse, out. My daughter and I are in love with Hempz Hair products.
3. Do you know someone in your life who could be on American Idol? Hey, if Sanjaya can do it…
Yes, I actually do know someone. John Hadlock, who just made BYU Young Ambassadors could easily be on American Idol. But then, so could the Kjarstinator. She has a great voice and a great presence.
4. Describe your worst date.
This is easy. Shortly after I was single I struggled financially. I wanted to do right by my kids. So when a “friend” asked if he could take my kids and me to Lagoon (that should have been my first clue, it is the amusement park from hell) I jumped at the chance. Well, little did I know (because I was STUPID, people) that he wanted to make the moves on me. He kept trying to hold my hand and I finally took desperate measures and held the hands of two of my children. He actually had the cajones to “unhood” my hand from one of my kids. I had to stop and tell him in no uncertain terms that this was not a happening thing. I was grateful he had offered to take us to Lagoon, but that did not entitle him to benefits of any kind.
When we finally were dropped off at our car, my kids and I all screamed at the top of our lungs for about 3 minutes because of the gross-out factor of the whole experience. And actually, that moment of screaming was very bonding for all of us.
5. If you could take up any hobby, with money and logistics being no object, what would it be?
I think my hobby would be travel. I’d go everywhere with all my favorite people. I’d use any means of transportation for experience sake, and I’d eat anything once.
Well, Melissa, thanks for the interview. I can’t say that my answers were particularly pithy or insightful, but it did give me Monday blog fodder.

So very attractive.
