But life just keeps on keeping on.
New hip? Check
New son-in-law? Very soon.
Kids? All doing ok. Today.
Dogs? As wicked as ever.
Today I came home from work to find that Marley had disemboweled Kjarsti’s comforter and there was cotton batting all over my house. I’m leaving it for her to pick up.
The week has been pretty good. I’m in a MUCH better place than I was a year ago… 6 months ago…. even 3 weeks ago. I chalk it up to a) new medication, b) meditation, and c) 2×4 to the head. Whatever it was that shifted me, I’m grateful. It was hard, sad, anxious, and painful.. but I’m in a new dimension.
Now, at this moment, everything in my life is perfect. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

In a few hours I’m making the long drive back to San Diego. I’m going for work, but I’m also going to get my tooth fixed (yeah!) Poodle Boy is coming with, and we’ll stay with Julia while we’re there.
The older I get, more traveling makes me anxious. Driving through some parts of Utah make me absolutely panic. I hate it. So, guess what? I’m not driving this trip. I’m sitting in the backseat reading or sleeping or staring out the window in the dark.
However, this will mark my very first trip to TJ. Can you believe I am a SoCal girl and I’ve never been to Tijuana!
